TJ Maxx is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated team member for the role focused on receiving and merchandising standards. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the flow of merchandise from delivery to sales floor while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The role involves overseeing the efficient processing of shipments, mentoring associates on merchandising and operational standards, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The position fosters team collaboration to meet store goals and supports leadership in promoting compliance with policies and labor laws.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
  • promotes a culture of honesty and integrity
  • orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing of merchandise
  • trains and mentors associates on merchandising and processing principles
  • ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
  • communicates with coordinator on duty to ensure goods flow efficiently
  • ensures associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritizes as needed
  • monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary
  • organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment
  • maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • maintains cleanliness and recovery standards for backroom area
  • ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
  • communicates effectively with management and associates
  • provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
  • partners with management on associate training
  • ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
  • promotes credit and loyalty programs
  • supports store shrink reduction goals
  • promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
