The company is recognized as a Fortune 100 organization, symbolizing its significant footprint in the retail industry and its commitment to delivering exceptional value to customers through quality merchandise at competitive prices.
TJX Companies is currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join their team at TJ Maxx Store 0259 located in Seminole, FL, as Receiving and Merchandising Associates. This full-time role offers a starting pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour, with actual rates determined by the candidate's relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Working at TJX not only means being part of a global leader in the retail sector but also being a part of a supportive workplace culture that encourages career growth and learning.
The role of a Receiving and Merchandising Associate is vital to the store’s operations, as it ensures that all merchandise is efficiently received, processed, and displayed in accordance with company standards. The individual in this position will play a key role in orchestrating truck deliveries, prioritizing the processing of goods onto the sales floor to create a seamless shopping experience for customers. They are expected to lead by example, fostering teamwork among associates, and mentoring them to adhere to merchandising principles and processing procedures. Attention to detail is crucial, as responsibilities include ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, coded, and secured to uphold store presentation and organizational standards.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized retail environment is another core aspect of this role. The associate will be responsible for upholding backroom recovery and cleanliness standards, organizing and rotating back stock to facilitate easy replenishment. Compliance with safety policies, recycling protocols, and hazardous waste programs where applicable also falls under this role to maintain a safe working environment. The position requires strong communication skills to effectively liaise with the Coordinator on Duty and management, ensuring an efficient flow of merchandise and updating them on priority tasks and progress.
This role also supports store initiatives such as shrink reduction and promotes credit and loyalty programs to enhance customer engagement. Associates in this role should embody the values of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality while creating a positive experience for both internal team members and external customers. The ability to adapt to changing directions and handle unexpected situations is necessary, alongside strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience. The physical demands require the ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation and the capacity to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends. TJX Companies offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees including health, dental, vision insurance, paid parental leave, holidays, paid time off, and various discount programs, reflecting their commitment to employee well-being and work-life balance.
Joining TJX Companies means becoming part of a company that values diversity and inclusion, offers supportive leadership, and provides multiple opportunities for personal and professional growth through a collaborative team environment and an open door policy. This opportunity presents a chance to build a meaningful career within a globally recognized retail leader dedicated to continuous ingenuity and excellence.
