The Team Captain – Sport & Outdoor role is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in fast-paced retail settings and have a passion for leadership and sports. The Team Captain will be responsible for coaching teammates, driving sales performance, and executing merchandising and operational plans to meet business goals. As a key leader in the store, this role also involves hands-on supervision, hiring and training team members, maintaining store standards, and fostering a positive and inclusive team atmosphere.

In this leadership capacity, the Team Captain will collaborate closely with Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers to develop and implement strategic plans that support the store’s priorities, including staffing, operational efficiency, and financial objectives. The role demands excellent communication skills, motivational leadership, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional athlete experiences. The successful candidate will be someone who is coachable, accountable, collaborative, and trustworthy, embodying the core values of DICK'S Sporting Goods.
