The role of Assistant Store Manager at Bath & Body Works presents a unique opportunity to be part of this dynamic brand. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
  • prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting
  • thrives in a customer-first based retail environment
  • ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture
  • effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly
  • ability to provide in the moment coaching to associates
  • ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively
  • must be available to work peak days and times, including varied shifts of evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent
  • set and reinforce clear and concise performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates
  • act as manager on duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationship, or maintenance issues
  • partner with sales leadership team to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities
  • implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life
  • perform opening and closing routines including execution of bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and dissemination of company directives
  • set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work
  • provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers
  • meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus
  • lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through demonstrating and modeling selling behaviors rooted in company values and product knowledge
  • create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations
  • train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience
  • reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates
  • consistently provide a safe, clean, and engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards and expectations
  • maintain company values, policies, and procedures
