New Balance is set to open a new inline location at The Grove in July 2026, presenting an exciting opportunity for dynamic individuals to join as Retail Assistant Store Managers. This role is pivotal in establishing a flagship store that embodies the perfect blend of culture and sport. This location will serve elite athletes and fashion influencers alike, showcasing a carefully curated selection of footwear and apparel that speaks to high volume, high visibility retail standards. The position offers a hands-on leadership experience with the responsibility of building a team of passionate brand ambassadors committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As a Retail Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in achieving sales goals and overseeing daily operational tasks. You will play a key role in hiring, training, and developing store staff, ensuring they reflect New Balance’s core values of integrity, teamwork, and total customer satisfaction. Your leadership will foster a positive working environment where every team member feels valued and motivated. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will take charge of running store operations, making critical decisions that support business objectives and uphold the brand’s reputation.

The Grove location offers a competitive hourly pay range between $22.70 and $34.05, depending on experience and other factors. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Two years retail experience, some higher volume stores may require more
  • B.A. in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 4 lbs constantly, lift maximum 8 lbs occasionally, kneel or squat frequently, move boxes up to 50 lbs with assistance, stand for extended periods, climb ladders occasionally, and frequently climb and descend stairs depending on location

Job Qualifications

  • B.A. in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of retail operations such as sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and be part of a team
  • Two years of retail experience

Job Duties

  • Create and maintain a total customer satisfaction culture
  • Help the Store Manager hit financial marks and operational objectives
