The business culture at FedEx Office prioritizes teamwork, efficiency, and responsiveness to market requirements, all while maintaining a compliance-driven workplace that respects diversity and equal opportunity.
The role of Store Assistant Manager at FedEx Office is pivotal in maintaining the store’s overall operations while delivering exceptional service. This leadership position is responsible for managing a store business unit by overseeing all team members and ensuring smooth execution of production, retail, shipping, pick-up, and delivery processes. The Store Assistant Manager acts as the Store Manager’s primary support, stepping into the manager’s responsibilities during absences, and often performing routine tasks just like any other team member to maintain operations seamlessly. This position demands a strong focus on creating a positive and consistent customer experience by promoting a customer-centric environment in all areas of the store, including production, retail, and shipping departments.
Besides operational management, the Store Assistant Manager plays an essential role in team leadership by training, coaching, and providing performance feedback to staff, thereby fostering an environment that supports professional growth and high standards. The store assistant manager also handles administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll management, inventory controls, and compliance with company policies. Managing customer disputes, enforcing quality control, and maintaining communication between the Store Lead Consultant and production teams are among the critical day-to-day functions. Furthermore, the assistant manager is actively involved in quality initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing profitability by applying quality-driven management principles.
This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while consistently maintaining high attention to detail and operational efficiency. The role is suited for professionals with supervisory experience who can demonstrate leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage with team members and customers constructively. The compensation range for this role is estimated between $20.30 and $24.84 per hour, with additional opportunities for bonuses and premiums. FedEx Office provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. Employment at FedEx Office is offered with an unwavering commitment to equal opportunity for all qualified individuals, including veterans and people with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive work environment that respects diversity and provides reasonable accommodations when needed.
