With a focus on quality, efficiency, and professionalism, FedEx Office aims to support the success of businesses and individual customers through seamless, high-quality service delivery.
The role of a Store Assistant Manager at FedEx Office is vital to the smooth operation of the store's business unit, with a primary focus on creating and maintaining a consistent and positive customer experience. This position involves assisting in the supervision and oversight of all team members and daily business operations, which include production, retail processes, customer pick-up and delivery services, shipping, and quality control. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in managing the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring that all store functions continue uninterrupted and to company standards.
The position requires an individual capable of performing all roles normally carried out by team members, demonstrating a hands-on leadership approach. Responsibilities include monitoring team productivity, managing customer interactions, resolving disputes, and ensuring a clean and professional store environment. The Assistant Manager is instrumental in establishing effective customer flow processes within the store to improve service experiences and ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Additionally, the role involves developing and coaching team members, supporting hiring processes, and maintaining communication with senior management and other departments to meet deadlines and quality standards. The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing shipping services and related activities and ensuring compliance with FedEx Office policies and procedures. Administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory management, ordering supplies, and daily point of sale (POS) close-out are also part of the role.
This role offers an hourly pay range of $24.40 to $29.89 and includes benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. FedEx Office is committed to providing an inclusive work environment and complies with fair chance hiring laws. The company values quality-driven management practices, aiming to reduce costs and optimize profitability through consistent application of quality principles and active participation in quality initiatives.
Overall, the Store Assistant Manager role at FedEx Office offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence within a dynamic retail environment. This position demands leadership skills, customer service expertise, operational knowledge, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
