This role is for the position of Store Assistant Manager at FedEx Office, which is a crucial leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of a store business unit. The Store Assistant Manager plays an essential role in creating a consistent and positive customer experience by supporting the Store Manager and overseeing the operations, production, retail processes, pick-up and delivery services, shipping, and quality control within the store. This position requires stepping in as the acting Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for all store functions and team members.

The primary focus of the Store Assistant Manager is to ensure that the store is operating efficiently while maintaining a customer-focused environment. By managing and supervising the team, the Assistant Manager ensures customers receive friendly, polite, personalized service, resolves disputes promptly, and monitors the overall store environment to keep it clean and professional. Additionally, they establish processes to manage customer flow, ensuring that customers' needs are met quickly and quality products are delivered efficiently.

This role also involves significant responsibilities related to team development and performance management. The Store Assistant Manager provides training, feedback, and coaching to team members, conducts interviews, assists with hiring decisions, and ensures adherence to company policies and standards. They maintain communication with the Store Lead Consultant and production teams to ensure deadlines and quality requirements are met consistently.

Administrative duties are an essential part of this role, including managing scheduling, payroll, training compliance, inventory controls, ordering supplies, and daily point-of-sale closeouts. The Assistant Manager helps enforce all FedEx Office policies and procedures and contributes to the company’s Quality Driven Management culture by suggesting process improvements and supporting quality initiatives.

With a starting pay range of $22.90 to $28.05 per hour, this employment opportunity includes health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers
  • evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences
  • resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
  • creates a customer focused environment in all areas of the store and monitors the store ensuring a clean and professional environment
  • establishes and manages a process for customer flow to improve service experience ensuring customers needs are met quickly and quality products are delivered
  • provides training and development of team members on assigned shifts by monitoring goals and providing feedback
  • interviews job applicants and assists Store Manager with hiring of team members
  • coaches, counsels and provides feedback to team members on their performance and adherence to company policies
  • maintains communication with Store Lead Consultant and production team to ensure deadlines and quality checks are met
  • oversees shipping related services and activities
  • communicates with Store Manager and team members on goals, performance metrics, customer issues and company initiatives
  • enforces FedEx Office policies and maintains environment of controls
  • assists Store Manager with payroll and daily POS close out
  • performs administrative duties including scheduling, payroll management, training compliance, ordering, and inventory controls
  • performs all other duties as needed or required
