The role of Store Assistant Manager at FedEx Office is critical to the success of the store’s daily operations and overall customer experience. This leadership position involves assisting the Store Manager in supervising team members and managing all aspects of business operations, including production, retail, shipping, quality control, and customer service. The assistant manager plays a key role in fostering a customer-focused environment, ensuring that every visitor receives friendly, polite, and expert service. They are responsible for monitoring team performance, resolving customer complaints, maintaining store cleanliness, and managing customer flow to optimize service efficiency. This position requires hands-on involvement, as the assistant manager is expected to perform all duties typically carried out by team members when necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 1+ year of related experience
  • Ability to stand during entire shift excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to bend and twist at waist and knees consistently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment under substantial pressure
  • Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers
  • Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences
  • Resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
  • Creates a customer focused environment in all areas of the store including production, retail, self-service, and shipping
  • Establishes and manages a process for customer flow in the store to improve service experience
  • Provides training and development of team members on assigned shifts by monitoring goals and providing feedback
  • Interviews job applicants and assists Store Manager with hiring of team members
  • Coaches, counsels and provides feedback to team members to ensure adherence to company policies and standards
  • Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and production team to ensure deadlines and quality checks
  • Oversees shipping related services and activities
  • Communicates daily/weekly/monthly goals, performance metrics, customer issues, and company initiatives with the Store Manager and team members
  • Complies with and enforces FedEx Office policies and procedures and maintains environment of controls
  • Assists Store Manager in payroll review and daily close out of POS
  • Performs administrative duties including scheduling, payroll management, training compliance, inventory controls, ordering and receiving supplies
  • Performs all other duties as needed or required
