The Retail & Coffee Bar Manager role located in Santa Clara, CA, offers an exciting career opportunity for a motivated, entrepreneurial individual who thrives on improving business operations and delivering excellence in retail and food service management. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of retail and coffee bar services, ensuring flawless execution of functions including budget development, financial reporting, staff management, and customer satisfaction. The manager will be responsible for the supervision of a team, handling payroll records, cost controls, sanitation, inventory management, and launching new culinary programs in collaboration with company marketing and culinary teams. The position requires flexibility to work varying hours from Monday through Saturday (10:00 AM to 9:00 PM) and Sundays (11:00 AM to 8:00 PM). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial acumen and prior experience in café management, coffee operations, and service excellence. Job Requirements

  • Flexibility to work varying hours of operation based on business needs, including Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience
  • Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Prior experience in coffee operations and service
  • Ability to manage staff and operations in a fast-paced environment
  • ServSafe Certification

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience
  • Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare, senior living, retirement or related environment desirable
  • Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, the Internet and other necessary computer programs
  • ServSafe Certified

Job Duties

  • Oversees daily administrative and operational tasks
  • Handles all aspects of staff management
  • Manages all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Maintains knowledge of the market place and trends
  • Manages cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • Oversees sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s)
  • Purchases and manages inventory
  • Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
  • Acts as the direct liaison with the client
