Job Description

Agave & Rye is an innovative restaurant concept that brings an adventurous and elevated dining experience to Centerville. With a chef-inspired take on the traditional taco, Agave & Rye transforms this simple dish into an extraordinary culinary event. Known for an expansive and unique selection of Bourbon, Tequila, and Craft Cocktails, the restaurant prides itself on delivering what they call the "EPIC" experience. At Agave & Rye, every meal is designed to take guests on a playful journey with every bite, combining bold flavors with artful presentation. The restaurant blends fine art and street art aesthetics to create a mood that they describe as "urban grunge," featuring rustic wood elements, brightly colored cushions, and a vibrant, eclectic soundtrack that moves from 80’s pop hits to current popular tracks. This distinctive atmosphere makes it a fun, high-energy, and high-standards place to work, where personality and professionalism go hand in hand.

The General Manager role at Agave & Rye’s Centerville location is a leadership position responsible for owning all aspects of the restaurant’s operations. This full-time position is critical in directing the planning, organizing, training, and leadership efforts required to meet key objectives, including sales growth, cost management, high employee retention, guest satisfaction, top-tier food quality, cleanliness, and proper sanitation. The General Manager will be the driving force behind maintaining the restaurant’s EPIC culture, ensuring that both staff and guests have rewarding and memorable experiences. The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment. They will be adept at balancing a fast-paced workflow with high standards of cleanliness and guest services. Strong communication skills are required to effectively connect with team members and restaurant guests alike, and a positive attitude aligned with Agave & Rye’s dynamic culture is essential. The role demands excellent time management capabilities, the ability to multi-task, and a proactive approach to leadership and problem-solving. Experience in event management and previous restaurant industry roles are significant advantages. Additionally, bilingual Spanish-English skills are preferred but not mandatory. This role requires availability during open hours and weekends, fitting well for someone ready to engage fully with the team and clientele in a vibrant, high-energy environment.
