The Manager's role is multifaceted, involving hands-on leadership as well as strategic oversight. The manager will lead efforts in staff development, from hiring to training and motivating team members, ensuring all employees are proficient and confident in their roles. They will also be adept at shift scheduling, enabling smooth service during peak dining hours and maintaining operational efficiency. Handling customer inquiries with empathy and resolving service issues promptly will be key aspects of this role, ensuring a positive customer experience.
In addition to operational duties, the Manager will contribute to financial aspects including budgeting and inventory control, helping to maximize the restaurant’s profitability while controlling costs. This includes overseeing ordering supplies and managing stock levels to ensure uninterrupted service. Experience or familiarity with kitchen management and catering services will be valuable in this role, enabling the manager to effectively coordinate between front-of-house and kitchen teams. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in restaurant management or related food industry role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
- Experience with inventory control and budget management is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen management practices including food production and catering services
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
