The Restaurant Zone Manager role at Raising Cane's is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in the day-to-day operations of one restaurant zone. This position plays a vital role in upholding the company’s standards and culture by managing operational tasks, leading crewmembers, and ensuring a seamless customer experience within the assigned zone. The Restaurant Zone Manager works in a fast-paced environment, engaging in activities that require physical exertion such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending while ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. This role demands both inside and outside work, handling food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and cleaning products that necessitate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities include enforcing Raising Cane’s policies and operational standards within the zone, managing the performance and conduct of crewmembers during shifts, directing daily workflows, and maintaining a clean and safe restaurant environment. The zone manager also supports employee engagement initiatives by implementing reward and recognition programs. Authorizing employee functions like discounts and promotions, and documenting shift activities using required tools and forms to ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary, all fall within this role's scope.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. They should possess strong communication skills, be self-driven, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for company training or functions. Raising Cane's values individuals with at least one year of restaurant or retail management experience or advanced crew experience within the company. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and applicants must be 18 years or older. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience or Raising Cane’s advanced crew experience
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • able to recognize problems and convert plans into action to solve them

Job Duties

  • Enforces Raising Cane’s policies and standards
  • manages assigned zone according to Raising Cane’s operations and safety standards
  • uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • directs crewmembers during a shift
  • provides exemplary customer service
  • supports execution of reward and recognition program for the crewmembers in the restaurant
  • authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval (e.g. discounts, promotions, etc.)
  • ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and ensures the facility is in good working order
  • completes other duties as assigned
