The role of Restaurant Zone Manager at Raising Cane's is a pivotal leadership position responsible for supporting Restaurant Leaders in managing day-to-day restaurant operations. This position focuses on overseeing the operations within one designated restaurant zone. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold Raising Cane's operational standards, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain the brand's culture. The physical nature of the job involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring long periods of walking, standing, lifting, and bending. It also involves direct interaction with customers and maintaining a safe and clean facility, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, food products, allergens, industrial equipment, and commercial cleaning products that necessitate the use of personal protective equipment.

As a Restaurant Zone Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations meet the company's standards during your shift. Your responsibilities include enforcing company policies, managing safety and operational procedures, directing crewmembers, and providing excellent customer service. You will also support the execution of reward and recognition programs for crewmembers, authorize employee-related functions needing managerial approval, and ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. This leadership role requires hands-on involvement where attention to detail, strong communication skills, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities are essential to success.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • 1+ years of restaurant or retail management experience or Raising Cane's advanced crew experience
  • must complete all required Raising Cane's company training programs
  • able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends and travel as needed for work-related functions and training
  • able to recognize problems, set goals, execute and convert plans into action to solve problems
  • able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
  • self-driven, flexible and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing

Job Duties

  • Enforces Raising Cane's policies and standards
  • manages assigned zone according to Raising Cane's operations and safety standards
  • uses required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action when needed
  • directs crewmembers during a shift
  • provides exemplary customer service
  • supports execution of reward and recognition program for the crewmembers in the restaurant
  • authorizes employee functions requiring manager approval such as discounts and promotions
  • ensures cleanliness of the restaurant and ensures the facility is in good working order
  • completes other duties as assigned
