Job Description
Flynn Group began its journey with Panera Bread in 2015 through the acquisition of 47 cafes, and since then has dramatically expanded to become the second-largest Panera franchisee globally. This impressive growth is not only the result of acquiring existing cafes but also through building new stores and absorbing other franchise operators. Flynn Panera operates under the broader umbrella of Flynn Group, which was founded in 1999 and has established itself as the largest franchise operator in the world. Flynn Group's extensive portfolio includes iconic and world-class brands such as Applebee's, Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. These brands span diverse segments within the hospitality and fitness industries, showcasing Flynn Group's leadership and expertise in multi-brand franchise management.
Flynn Panera is a unique franchise unit that thrives on a decentralized business model where each geographic region is led by an experienced Market Leader. Below the Market Leader are Area Directors who manage multiple cafe units, ensuring that each location operates seamlessly and meets the high standards set by the company. The General Managers take charge of individual cafes, serving as the chief managers responsible for the cafe's overall operations. Assisting General Managers are Assistant Managers who oversee specific departments and daily management tasks, supported by Team Managers who help maintain effective workflow and team coordination.
The company's leadership is highly experienced, boasting over 190 years combined in the restaurant industry, with more than 60 of those years specifically within the Flynn Group. This depth of experience translates into a well-established culture of excellence and a commitment to operational efficiency, exceptional customer service, and team development.
The role of a Retail Team Member at Flynn Panera offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this growing franchise. Flynn Panera cafes are known for their upscale yet friendly atmosphere, distinguished by fresh, baked breads, pastries, made-to-order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. Importantly, these cafes operate without fryers or alcohol, fostering a grease-free and alcohol-free environment that contributes to a clean and welcoming space for both customers and employees.
Team Members are essential in delivering the quality and service Panera is known for. They provide guests with excellent customer service, maintain a clean and efficient cafe environment, and ensure the fast and accurate delivery of orders. The company looks for candidates who are strong team players and committed to creating a warm, friendly atmosphere that aligns with the Panera brand. The role favors morning people as the cafes do not operate late at night, offering a work-life balance that enhances employee well-being.
Flynn Panera offers competitive pay, meal discounts, various insurance options, a daily pay program, opportunities for career advancement, and flexible scheduling. The company’s investment in its employees extends beyond basic employment, focusing on developing a positive work culture, comprehensive training, and continuous opportunities for growth. Employee physical requirements include the ability to stand and move actively during shifts of up to 10 hours, the capability to lift items up to 50 pounds safely, and proficiency in reading, writing, and handling small tools or equipment. Reasonable accommodations are available for those who require them.
Choosing Flynn Panera means joining a franchise committed to genuine care, championing a strong work ethic, and fostering a unifying team spirit. As a growing franchise within the Flynn Group, employees benefit from stability, advancement potential, and a supportive, dynamic workplace environment. Additionally, Flynn Group is dedicated to diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported throughout their career journey. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with a pay rate of up to $15.00 per hour, conducted in-person to maintain the hands-on, community-oriented spirit of the cafes.
