Founded in 1950, Whataburger has grown into a well-recognized brand with a strong presence across the southern United States. Whataburger prides itself on delivering a unique dining experience, emphasizing fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. More than just a burger joint, Whataburger creates a sense of community through partnerships with educational institutions, veterans organizations, and a diverse range of talent pools. Their commitment to supporting future leaders and entrepreneurs is evident through initiatives such as the National Federation of State High School Association partnership and the military-friendly employer program. The company fosters a culture that values teamwork, respect, and growth opportunities, making it an exciting place to work for people of all backgrounds and experience levels.

The Restaurant Team Member role at Whataburger is a dynamic and rewarding position that plays a critical part in the company’s success. These team members are the 'secret ingredient' behind every shift, contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant while delivering excellent customer service. Every workday presents new challenges and opportunities filled with teamwork, laughter, and the joy of serving craveable food to customers. Employees enjoy flexible schedules, competitive weekly pay, and a variety of benefits including scholarship programs, paid time off, and discounts on wireless services, software, gym memberships, and meals. With both part-time and full-time positions available, as well as multiple shift options including day, night, evening, and overnight shifts, this role offers considerable flexibility to fit employees’ lifestyles.

Whataburger also emphasizes career growth with a clear path to advancement. Their Operating Partners have the potential to earn six-figure incomes, exemplifying the company’s commitment to rewarding hard work and dedication. Beyond monetary rewards, team members gain valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and customer service that can lead to a long-term career in the restaurant industry or beyond. Team members who average at least 30 hours per week over a 12-month period become eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, enhancing the overall value of working with Whataburger. Recognizing and appreciating employees’ contributions through awards and celebrations adds to the positive work environment. Ultimately, Whataburger is more than a job; it’s a community where employees can thrive, grow, and enjoy every shift they work.
