Job Description

Panera Bread is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain known for its fresh, wholesome food and commitment to creating a warm, welcoming environment for both guests and team members. Established in 1987, Panera has grown to become a household name across the United States and Canada, serving up delicious soups, salads, sandwiches, and bakery items crafted with high-quality ingredients. The company takes pride in its focus on community engagement, sustainability, and transparent food practices, making it a beloved destination for customers seeking a friendly atmosphere and nutritious meal options.

Panera Bread operates on the principle that great hospitality starts with great people. This philosophy is deeply ingrained in the company culture, where every employee’s contribution is valued and supported. Panera offers a variety of career opportunities that promote professional growth, provide comprehensive benefits, and foster a fun and inclusive workplace where individuals can be their authentic selves. With competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and ongoing training and leadership development programs, Panera is dedicated to helping its team members succeed and advance in their careers.

The role of a Retail Team Member Cashier at Panera is an excellent entry-level position that plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional guest service. As the first face customers encounter, cashiers serve as ambassadors of the brand, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and satisfied with their experience. This position requires individuals who are friendly, attentive, and capable of efficiently managing register operations while maintaining a positive attitude, even during busy periods.

Cashiers at Panera are responsible for accurately taking orders, answering questions about the menu including limited-time offers, and providing fast, friendly service to enhance each guest’s visit. They help cultivate Panera’s culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust by embodying the company’s guiding values and behaviors. This includes smiling, learning, growing, finding solutions, taking initiative, working collaboratively with team members, celebrating successes, and seeing the best in others.

This opportunity offers more than just a job; it provides a pathway to personal and professional development, with tuition discounts, team member perks and rewards, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and even pet insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with employer match. Full-time team members also enjoy paid vacation, sick time, and holidays, making Panera not only a great place to work but a supportive community to grow with.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced atmosphere where no two days are alike, value teamwork, and want to join a company committed to your success and well-being, Panera Bread is the perfect fit. By joining Panera as a Retail Team Member Cashier, you become part of a dedicated team that strives to make the familiar fantastic by sharing the best thing about bread – the experience of sharing it with others.
