Job Description

Panera Bread is a well-known fast-casual restaurant chain that has built its reputation on serving freshly baked bread, wholesome meals, and exceptional customer service. Founded in 1987, Panera has grown into a beloved brand recognized for its commitment to quality food, a warm atmosphere, and a focus on community values. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where team members are encouraged to grow personally and professionally. At Panera, the philosophy of putting people first resonates not only with the customers but also with the employees, who are considered the backbone of the brand's success. This approach creates a unique culture of warmth, belonging, and mutual respect across all levels of the organization.

Panera offers a range of career opportunities including roles in retail, kitchen operations, and management. The role of a Retail Team Member Cashier at Panera is pivotal as it serves as the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. This position requires a friendly, approachable individual who can deliver excellent guest service while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The cashier is responsible for welcoming guests, accurately taking orders, answering questions about menu items and promotions, and creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Part of the role also involves maintaining cleanliness and order at the cashier station, managing payments, and collaborating with other team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

This employment opportunity is suited for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality and enjoy engaging with people. The position is available to candidates who are at least 16 years old and requires basic food safety knowledge, including the completion of food handler's training where applicable by law. Panera supports flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs, including nights and weekends, making it an excellent part-time or full-time employment option.

In addition to competitive pay and eligibility for team tips, Panera provides numerous benefits to its team members, such as free on-shift meals, unlimited fountain beverages, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays for full-time employees. There are also medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance options available, alongside a 401(k) plan with a matching contribution. The company is dedicated to the career growth of its employees, offering leadership development programs and tuition discounts. Furthermore, team members have access to a range of perks, rewards, and an assistance program that support their overall well-being and success within the company.

Joining Panera as a Retail Team Member Cashier offers not only a job but a chance to be part of a brand that values your contributions and encourages you to shine. You will be empowered to create memorable experiences for guests while building your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role promises continuous learning opportunities, a strong team culture, and the chance to be part of something bigger – sharing the best of what Panera offers with every guest who walks through the door.
