Job Description

Panera Bread is a leading bakery-cafe chain renowned for its commitment to quality, community, and exceptional guest experiences. With hundreds of locations across the United States and Canada, Panera Bread offers freshly baked goods, sandwiches, soups, and salads made from real, high-quality ingredients. The company prides itself on fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy great food, refreshing beverages, and a comfortable environment suitable for both casual dining and working remotely. Panera Bread consistently invests in its team members, offering comprehensive training, competitive pay, and extensive benefits to support their professional development and well-being. As a socially responsible company, Panera Bread also emphasizes sustainability and ethical sourcing practices to ensure each meal contributes positively to the environment and society.

Joining Panera Bread as a Restaurant Team Member means becoming an integral part of a brand that values warmth, care, and community. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic settings and seek meaningful opportunities to connect with guests while contributing to the bakery-cafe’s success. As a Restaurant Team Member, you will be the heart of hospitality, delivering a genuine and enthusiastic greeting to every guest and ensuring the highest levels of service consistently. This position involves versatile responsibilities across different bakery-cafe areas, including production, preparation, service, cashiering, expo, drive-thru, barista duties, and quality control. You will assemble fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches with precision and care, avoiding the assembly line approach to focus on the quality of real ingredients and great food.

The role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment by adhering to food safety standards and cleaning protocols thoroughly. Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial, as you will need to stay informed about daily priorities, adapt to changing circumstances, and support team success through various tasks, such as cleaning, stocking, and preparing for the next shift. Your ability to build personal connections with guests and identify moments to surprise and delight will enhance the overall dining experience, encouraging guests to return. Panera Bread offers competitive pay ranging from $12.00 to $15.00 per hour, and full-time employees can enjoy paid vacation, sick time, and holidays. The company supports a collaborative and inclusive work culture where every team member’s efforts are recognized and rewarded.

Working at Panera Bread also includes numerous perks such as free on-shift meals with unlimited fountain beverages, flexible scheduling options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, pet insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match. The career advancement path is well-defined, with leadership development opportunities and tuition discounts for education advancement. Team members can also benefit from perks and rewards programs as well as an employee assistance program. Whether you are passionate about food service or seeking a rewarding role in the hospitality industry, this opportunity at Panera Bread allows you to contribute meaningfully to local communities while growing both personally and professionally.
