The role of a Team Member at Papa John's involves performing a variety of assigned workstation duties with the primary goal of ensuring that quality products and outstanding service are delivered to every customer. This is an hourly, non-exempt position that requires individuals to be at least 16 years old and be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and potentially long shifts. Team Members are expected to comply with uniform, appearance, and operational standards detailed in the company’s Operations Manual, Cross-Training Guidebook, and Team Member Handbook, while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
In this role, candidates will engage in preparing ingredients, making pizzas, taking customer orders via phone or in person, and providing quality service with a professional and positive attitude. Team Members work cooperatively with others to support different workstations and complete all closing and cleaning duties at shift end. Additionally, they will accurately handle cash and credit card transactions using the FOCUS System and promote sales through suggestive selling techniques to increase average customer orders. Maintaining organized, safe, and clean work areas is essential, alongside following safety and security standards at all times.
Successful personnel demonstrate core competencies such as a commitment to task completion and a sense of urgency, customer focus to meet and exceed expectations, flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, initiative in proactively addressing tasks, and strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively. The physical demands of the job require standing for long periods, using hands repetitively, lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally more than 51 pounds. A dynamic work environment exposes employees to varying temperatures, mechanical equipment, and potential odors or dust.

Job Requirements
- must be 16 years of age or older
- able to work long hours scheduled or unscheduled including nights weekends and emergencies
- able to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- capable of using hands repetitively standing for prolonged periods walking grasping firmly and using fine finger dexterity
- able to bend over twist reach above shoulder level crouch kneel repetitively use feet use head and neck in twisting or static motion look up and/or down push and/or pull lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
