Ajayi Hospitality Group, Inc. is an independent franchisee operating a McDonald's restaurant in the Lake Elsinore area. While licensed to use McDonald’s logos and food products, this franchisee operates as a separate entity from McDonald's USA, responsible for all employment matters including hiring, staffing, discipline, and scheduling. The Restaurant Team Leader position provides operational support under the direction of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager at this franchise-owned McDonald's location. This role is integral to the restaurant’s success, leading teams consisting of crew members, crew trainers, and other team leaders to ensure efficient and effective operations during shifts or dayparts. The Restaurant Team Leader is responsible for guiding and motivating team members to meet goals and maintain service excellence standards. Beyond shift leadership, this role often includes project management tasks, such as leading process improvement teams or taskforces to address operational challenges and promote continuous improvement.
In this position, the Team Leader plays a critical role in planning pre-shift activities, overseeing shift operations, and conducting post-shift reviews to ensure operational standards are met consistently. The Team Leader also monitors progress towards targets, identifies staffing or performance gaps, and takes action to resolve these in collaboration with management. Building a strong sense of teamwork and fostering communication among team members is a priority to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Additionally, the Team Leader supports food safety, inventory management, safety and security procedures, and maintenance tasks in alignment with company policies.
This role requires someone who can effectively communicate goals, coach team members on guest service and operational behaviors, and model strong leadership throughout the restaurant’s daily functions. The position includes hands-on operational duties as well as supervisory responsibilities, creating a dynamic work environment that balances management oversight with active participation on the floor. Candidates should be adaptable, achievement-oriented, and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to thrive in this fast-paced setting.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of customer service management experience or equivalent military service
- Experience in fast-paced quick service restaurant environment
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work flexible full-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Capability to coach and mentor team members
- Willingness to perform operational tasks and lead teams
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in quick service restaurants or fast-paced public-facing environments
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and mentor others
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate in a second language is a plus
- At least one year of customer service management experience or US military service
- Ability to work variable full-time hours including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
