The Support Person (Busser/Runner/Porter) role is essential within the food service operations, providing critical support to the Bar, Counter, and Server staff. This position involves handling various tasks such as bussing tables, running food and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness and order in guest-accessible areas. The Support Person serves as an integral part of the front-of-house team, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and pleasant experience from arrival to departure. Beyond direct guest service, this role entails maintaining sanitary restrooms, stocking service stations, and performing closing duties that contribute to the overall efficiency and professionalism of the restaurant’s environment. This job demands excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 or have parental consent
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Strong oral communication skills in English
  • Additional language skills preferred
  • Good personal organization and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Capable of working under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is mandatory

Job Duties

  • Greeting and assisting guests
  • Responding promptly to guest needs or escalating requests for immediate assistance
  • Clearing and setting tables
  • Assisting with pre-bussing
  • Running food and drink orders efficiently
  • Maintaining service stations including rotating bus bins, trash removal, and stocking
  • Monitoring, cleaning, and stocking public restrooms as needed
  • Consistently maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Performing assigned running and closing sidework duties
  • Executing tasks or duties as directed by the Manager on Duty
  • Adhering to good food safety practices
  • Ensuring every guest has an enjoyable experience from arrival to departure
