Job Requirements
- Must meet Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC) requirements for responsible alcohol service
- certification may be required or obtained upon hire
- engaging, welcoming personality and a strong guest service focus
- ability to remain effective under pressure while actively contributing to and guiding team execution on the floor
- ability to support operational compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- effective communication skills
- previous bartending or serving experience in a high-volume or upscale environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Two to four years of bartending experience in a high-volume and/or upscale environment preferred
- knowledge of current beverage trends including mixology, wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits preferred
- ability to confidently describe menu offerings, make recommendations, and support sales through guest engagement
- strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- ability to lead and support a team during service in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a positive, team-oriented service culture
- knowledge of Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission requirements or willingness to obtain certification
Job Duties
- Actively perform bartender and/or server duties during all scheduled shifts
- lead by example through exceptional guest service, engagement, and hospitality execution
- step into active service stations during peak periods to support flow and guest experience
- maintain a strong presence on the floor, ensuring attentive and personalized service
- demonstrate full knowledge of beverage program and menu offerings to support guest engagement and sales
- support opening and closing duties for restaurant and bar operations
- assist in coordinating floor coverage, section assignments, and service flow
- ensure consistent execution of steps of service and brand standards
- communicate in real time with culinary and bar teams to ensure smooth service execution
- assist with POS accuracy, cash handling procedures, and end-of-shift reconciliation
- engage directly with guests to enhance their experience and anticipate needs
- resolve guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with ownership
- ensure all guest interactions reflect The Bradley’s service culture and standards
- support real-time service recovery to maintain guest satisfaction and loyalty
- provide real-time coaching and guidance to bartenders and servers during service
- assist with onboarding and training new team members through hands-on support
- reinforce service standards, cleanliness, and beverage presentation expectations
- promote teamwork, accountability, and communication across all shifts
- ensure bar and service areas are fully stocked, clean, and organized
- assist with inventory control, requisitions, and product rotation
- support compliance with sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- maintain awareness of cost control, portioning, and waste reduction during service
- assist management with scheduling feedback and shift coverage needs
- support execution of promotions, events, and seasonal programming
- participate in pre-shift meetings and team communication huddles
