With a commitment to superior guest experiences and operational excellence, USC integrates a culture of diversity, inclusion, and community-building among its workforce. The company values professionalism, teamwork, and a proactive approach to service in fast-paced and dynamic environments. USC is dedicated to fostering an inclusive work culture that respects and celebrates diverse backgrounds and perspectives, aligning with federal and state equal employment opportunity regulations.
This position is for a Front of House Supervisor (FOHS) at a Maverick Hotel and Restaurant location managed by United Service Companies. The FOHS plays a critical role in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house staff and kitchen operations to provide high-quality dining experiences. This role requires a mix of leadership, customer service expertise, and operational oversight, including the management of meal services such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The FOHS is responsible for supervising and mentoring hourly employees, promoting team spirit, and upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. This position includes responsibilities such as opening and closing the restaurant, handling guest interactions to gauge satisfaction, and monitoring staff performance and attendance.
The FOHS must be adept at managing the expediting of orders, ensuring correct priorities for dishes, and guaranteeing accurate and timely plate presentations. Collaboration with the leadership team to optimize business performance and staff utilization is essential. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to manage under pressure in a hospitality setting. The FOHS also supports administrative duties and maintains rigorous adherence to health and safety standards.
Candidates should have at least three years of food and beverage experience, preferably with supervisory and banquet experience, and possess required certifications such as a valid Food Handler’s card and Bassett card. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and the ability to carry heavy items up to 75 pounds, reflecting the active nature of the hospitality environment. Due to the 24/7 operational nature of the hospitality industry, the role involves working rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
USC offers a professional and inclusive atmosphere with a strong focus on employee development, making it an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and leadership.
