The Restaurant Supervisor role at Oak View Group plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of service that guests expect. This position is part-time and offers an hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $25.00. The Restaurant Supervisor oversees the restaurant team within a live venue, ensuring that each shift runs smoothly and guests receive top-notch hospitality. Responsibilities include supervising team members, coordinating shift coverage, managing breaks, and ensuring thorough knowledge and execution of menu items and specials. The supervisor also monitors cleanliness, compliance with liquor laws, and adherence to contractual food and franchise agreements.
In addition to managing daily operations, the Restaurant Supervisor conducts end-of-shift reports, troubleshoots technical issues related to point of sale (POS) systems and equipment, and provides mentoring and coaching to foster the development of the restaurant staff. Maintaining product quality and service timeliness across catering areas is also a key component. Effective communication, positive guest interaction, and strong teamwork are essential for success in this role. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year supervisory experience as a supervisor/manager in a restaurant/casino environment
- Must acquire and maintain a valid Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Suspicious Activity, and other required compliance trainings
- All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the State Gaming Agency and Tribal Gaming Office prior to beginning work and are required to have the license renewed annually
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory
- Ability to communicate with team members, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
Job Qualifications

- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume food court, casual, buffet, and/or nightclub in a supervisory capacity is preferred

- All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the State Gaming Agency and Tribal Gaming Office prior to beginning work and are required to have the license renewed annually

Job Duties
- Supervises shift coverage and coordinates breaks for team members
- Ensures team members maintain knowledge of the menu and any specials being offered
- Supervises the team in maintaining a clean and presentable work area
- Ensures the venues are stocked and prepared for service at all times
- Complies and ensures compliance with liquor laws regarding alcohol service where applicable
- Complies with all departmental food and franchise contractual agreements
- Conducts end-of-shift reports for cashiers on shift
- Coordinates in troubleshooting technical problems with Point of Sale (POS) systems, facilities, equipment, etc., and contacts for appropriate support, as necessary
- Provides ongoing supervision and mentoring to team members
- Monitors product quality and ensures a high level of guest service
- Coordinates the ongoing coaching and mentoring of the team as directed by department management
- Maintains excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need
- Maintains the quality and timeliness of all catering areas' service
- Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests
