Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 12 months of experience in a similar supervisory role
- ability to perform physical duties including prolonged standing
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to use abstract mathematical calculations and P.O.S. systems
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- completion of TIPS program within six weeks of hire
- ability to work under minimal supervision and in noisy environments
- ability to cooperate with other departments and team members
- adherence to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 12 months of experience in a similar position requiring comparable skills and abilities
- prior experience in guest relations or restaurant environment
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to provide leadership and maintain professional and ethical conduct
- ability to use point of sale (P.O.S.) systems
- ability to complete required training programs such as the TIPS program
- competency in managing schedules and labor projections
- basic mathematical and organizational skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- ability to maintain confidentiality and promote positive relations with guests and staff
Job Duties
- Comply with comment card system
- discuss results with employees
- take corrective action when necessary
- assist in processing all new hire information
- direct the new hire task sheet process for restaurant members
- adhere to and assist in appropriate training and certification programs for all restaurant team members
- assist in the coaching and counseling of restaurant employees
- assist with complying with the company standard for progressive discipline
- comply with all company policies in personnel administration and human resources
- assist in conducting monthly meetings for restaurant staff
- assist in the development of employee schedules and labor projections
- achieve productivity goals
- attend weekly food and beverage staff meetings
- assist in the development and implementation of promotional and sales plans
- participate in the development of marketing programs
- assist in the implementation of menu programs
- assist in revenue projections
- assist with cross-training of staff
- ensure tip report control
- ensure shift side work completion
- check and stock wines during pm shift
- maintain restaurant and room service stock
- maintain company cleanliness standards
- input menu and personnel files into computer system
- update "86" items on board and communicate issues to manager and chef
- report call-outs and late arrivals
- assign designated servers
- report all voids, promo checks, or cash problems
- communicate maintenance needs
- assist in all restaurant positions to provide guest satisfaction
- participate in safety and quality teams
- sign voids or promo checks in absence of manager
- act as food and beverage supervisor in absence of managers
- assist immediate manager as directed
