Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years supervisory experience in a food service environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions
- Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location
- Technology aptitude for working with automated inventory system
- Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four 4 hours in length and have the ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees
- Must be able to work in extremes of cold to heat
- Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to exert well-paced mobility to maneuver quickly among different areas of the facility

Job Duties
- Confer with Restaurant Manager at start of shift to ensure clear understanding of daily priorities
- Ensure that work areas are clean and properly maintained
- Conduct pre-meal walk-thrus of all restaurant spaces including entry, dining room and restrooms
- Conduct or participate in pre-shift meetings with staff, as directed by manager
- Ensure that all servers are present, in proper uniform and that all are well groomed
- Train, delegate and assign responsibilities to servers
- Ensure understanding of set-up, flow of business and service details based on instructions set forth by manager
- Provide consistent floor supervision during shift
- Monitor flow of service and maintain continuous communication with front and back of house employees
- Circulate dining room frequently
- Greet and check in with guests to inquire about their experience and enjoyment
- Ensure that servers are assigned meal breaks and that proper time and attendance procedures are followed
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling throughout all dining areas
