Job Description

Restaurant 604, established in 2016, is a premier waterfront dining establishment located in Hawaii, renowned for providing an exceptional dining experience primarily to military families, local residents, and visitors passing through. As one of Hawaii's largest locally-owned restaurant operators, with nearly 300 dedicated team members known collectively as the Ohana, Restaurant 604 prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. The success of the flagship restaurant has led to the expansion of the 604 brand family, which now includes 604 Express, The Beach House by 604, Mangiamo by 604, 60fore Bar & Grill, 604 Ale House, and 604 Clubhouse. These venues offer diverse dining experiences featuring great food, live music, breathtaking views, and top-tier service delivered with Aloha spirit.

The role of Restaurant Supervisor at Restaurant 604 is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service and operational excellence that the brand is known for. As a Restaurant Supervisor, the individual is responsible for managing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure that guest expectations are not only met but consistently exceeded. This includes overseeing proper opening and closing procedures in compliance with restaurant policies and food safety standards mandated by management. The supervisor also acts as a crucial link between the front-of-house staff and management, driving the team to maintain the company's quality standards and exceptional service style. This job requires a hands-on approach, where the supervisor must occasionally perform duties of front-of-house staff, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Critical responsibilities include training new hires on the company’s service methods and safety protocols, assigning and managing side work for the kitchen staff to optimize operations, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health codes in all restaurant areas. Furthermore, the supervisor must handle customer concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining detailed operational communication with management.

Additionally, the Restaurant Supervisor at 604 carries key responsibilities involving cash handling, cash register balancing, and ensuring sufficient change availability, all while following company procedures. The role demands good mathematical skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to manage staff schedules and coverage to meet fluctuating business demands. The position requires physical stamina, as the supervisor must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, stooping, and bending throughout the shift. The role is suited for individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm for guest satisfaction, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
