The position of Supervisor at Jason's Deli is a pivotal role within the restaurant's daily operations. This role involves overseeing the performance and productivity of various staff members including catering and delivery coordinators, order takers, cashiers, front and back-line kitchen staff, as well as delivery drivers. The supervisor is responsible for the job set-up before shifts, managing the workflow during shifts, and ensuring a smooth and orderly close at the end of each day. Job Requirements

  • must be age 18 or over
  • must comply with city Department of Health regulations and dress code policies
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 6 hours in a fast-paced environment
  • frequent reaching, bending, squatting, and stooping
  • ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds repetitively
  • regular attendance
  • ability to use cash register, calculator, knives, meat slicers, buffalo choppers, drills, mixers, can openers, scales, and dishwashing machines
  • must not be infected with communicable disease transmissible through food handling

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 6 months of supervisory experience preferably in food service
  • ability to direct staff effectively
  • strong communication skills in English
  • proficiency in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to memorize basic job routines
  • ability to perform cash handling accurately
