The role available is a supervisory position overseeing all à la carte Food and Beverage operations, which include the restaurant, room service, and lounge areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of these outlets by managing guest interactions, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of quality product and service. The position demands vigilance in operational duties, from greeting and escorting guests to managing scheduling, payroll, and inventory. The successful candidate will support the Restaurant Manager and Food & Beverage Director in staff recruitment, training, counseling, and discipline to promote an efficient and courteous team environment.
This position requires a hands-on leader with in-depth knowledge of food outlet operations, including sophisticated food service techniques, governmental regulations pertaining to alcohol service, and operational protocols that ensure guest satisfaction. The individual must be adept at communication, both with guests and team members, and capable of implementing and maintaining safety, security, and cleanliness standards. With a need for flexibility due to the hotel’s 24/7 operation, this role also involves participating in marketing initiatives, menu development, expense control, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Further to operational responsibilities, the role requires physical stamina for tasks such as lifting weights up to 50 pounds regularly, standing and walking throughout shifts, and maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company standards. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure and can handle the dynamic environment of a busy hospitality setting while promoting a positive guest experience and team cohesion.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food and beverage supervisory role
- Current or in-process certification for food handler card and TABC license
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and transport 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
Job Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including foods supervisory aspects service techniques and guest interaction
- Knowledge of state federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding service to minors and intoxicated guests
- Hold or be in process of obtaining current food handler card and TABC license
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful busy periods
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Basic knowledge of English sufficient for customer inquiries and instructions
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- Ability to remember recite and promote menu items
- Ability to operate beverage equipment including coffee maker
Job Duties
- Assist restaurant manager/food and beverage director in interviewing selecting training supervising counseling and disciplining restaurant staff for efficient operation
- Maintain outlet scheduling and payroll
- Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information such as house count daily specials promotions and menu changes
- Meet and greet guests escort them to tables and present menus
- Answer telephones coordinate and document reservations
- Maintain communication with all departments attend relevant meetings participate in marketing efforts assist in creating menus survey competition and report food trends
- Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction ensure consistent appealing food prepared to guest specifications interact with guests to obtain feedback
- Maintain profitability control payroll and equipment costs calculate inventory order and stock supplies ensure equipment maintenance
- Support entire food and beverage operation including supervising other areas handling special projects running promotions and marketing
- Provide clean and safe environment assign and assist with cleaning
- Adhere to company policies procedures and safety rules
- Know fire prevention and emergency procedures utilize protective equipment report unsafe conditions and incidents
- Maintain neat clean and well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested
- Assist other restaurant personnel when needed
