The role of Restaurant Operations Supervisor at Vegan Mob is designed for a skilled and experienced professional who is passionate about operational excellence and the plant-based food industry. As a pivotal team member, you will work closely with the Owner to develop and implement strategies that drive the restaurant's daily operational success. This part-time position, offering competitive hourly pay between $23.00 and $25.00, requires a hands-on approach to managing the restaurant’s activities, including supervision of staff, quality control, and active participation in food preparation.

Your responsibilities will range from ensuring food quality and customer service standards to managing employee schedules and performance. As the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house operations, you will maintain a clean, organized, and efficient environment that meets all food safety standards. Additionally, you will oversee cash handling and point-of-sale transactions, making sure that all financial processes are accurate and secure. The role also includes marketing collaboration, local artisan partnerships, catering initiatives, and special event coordination, reflecting Vegan Mob's commitment to community engagement and business growth. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide supervisory oversight to ensure that staff meet food quality and customer service standards in a timely and efficient manner
  • Review, approve, and submit staff timesheets accurately and on time
  • Assist with hiring and training staff in customer service and operational procedures
  • Manage employee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Provide feedback to the owner regarding employee performance for performance reviews
  • Oversee the management of the cash till for the cashier
  • Operate food processing equipment and machinery to wash, cut, mix, blend, season, and prepare ingredients for cooking and overall kitchen production
  • Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of products within the kitchen
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Greet customers warmly, assist them with their orders, accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and card payments efficiently and securely, maintain a clean and organized cashier station, provide information about menu items, answer customer inquiries, and assist with packing and handing out orders
  • Ensure the dining area is clean and presentable
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth and efficient restaurant operations
  • Address customer complaints or concerns with a positive attitude, resolving issues promptly
  • Regularly analyze food costs and provide feedback to optimize expenses
  • Oversee food safety programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations, food safety standards, and scheduled facility maintenance
  • Implement and support marketing strategies to drive restaurant growth
  • Collaborate with the owner and Restaurant Operations Lead to develop local artisan collaborations, catering services, and special events, including but not limited to creating a written process for each initiative
  • Perform other duties as assigned
