Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fine dining setting with banquet experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Customer-oriented professional demeanor
  • Ability to function independently
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a fine dining setting with banquet experience preferred
  • Strong communication and time-management abilities
  • Ability to exhibit high profile, customer-oriented, professional demeanor
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment to make effective decisions in crisis situations
  • Ability to adapt to differences and changes in programs, colleagues, students and customers
  • Ability to function independently
  • Ability to carry trays and lift up to 50 lbs as well as walking and standing for long periods of time
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • ServSafe Certification a plus

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat customers with courtesy and professionalism
  • Knowledgeable explanation of specials and menu items for customers
  • Taking orders and entering them into the POS system
  • Proper service of food and beverages as well as clearing of plates and bussing tables
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with both front and back of house
  • Perform in a team-based environment with faculty, students and staff
  • Maintain policies and standard operating processes and procedures for restaurant and catering operations
  • Complete all side work and opening and closing checklists as required
  • Maintain proper food safety standards
  • Implement special responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
