We are currently looking to expand our Back of House (BOH) team with motivated individuals for roles such as Prep Cook, Boards (our barbecue term for meat carver), Pits (smoker operators), and Dishwasher. These positions are critical in upholding City Barbeque's high standards in food quality, preparation, and sanitation. BOH team members play a key role in providing exceptional backyard hospitality through quality food and efficient service.
The roles demand a fast-paced and independent work ethic while encouraging cross-training in multiple stations to foster flexibility, teamwork, and smooth operations. Each day on the BOH team involves precise execution of recipes and procedures, collaborative preparation of takeout and catering orders, and thorough adherence to cleaning and sanitation guidelines to ensure both food safety and an organized kitchen environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a food service or kitchen role preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must maintain punctuality and reliability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
Job Duties
- Arrive on time for each shift and practice proper time reporting
- Complete hot and cold food prep assignments by following recipes accurately, neatly and according to sanitation guidelines
- Work in collaboration to prepare take out and catering orders in a timely fashion
- Follow station checklists and cleaning lists consistently and thoroughly
- Provide a positive attitude when interacting with teammates and guests
- Cross-train and work multiple stations
- Maintain high standards for food preparation and sanitation
