Job Description

MOD Pizza is a vibrant and innovative fast-casual restaurant brand that has established itself as a leader in the pizza industry by celebrating individuality and inclusivity. At MOD, pizza is crafted uniquely for each individual, allowing every guest to customize their meal exactly how they like it. This approach not only creates a delicious experience but also fosters a welcoming atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to be themselves. MOD is committed to creating a space where every ingredient is valued and where giving back to the community is an integral part of the company’s mission and core operations. The company culture revolves around what they call "Spreading MODness," which means that working at MOD is more than just making pizza; it’s about powering possibilities and making a difference for guests, team members, and the community.

MOD Pizza operates on a foundation of respect for individuality and teamwork, striving to make a meaningful and positive impact in the restaurant industry. Alongside the commitment to quality food and hospitality, MOD offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their team members’ well-being and growth. The compensation for the Shift Supervisor role is $18.28 per hour plus tips, reflecting MOD’s recognition of the vital role supervisors play in delivering excellent customer experiences and efficient restaurant operations.

The Shift Supervisor position at MOD Pizza is an exciting leadership role ideal for individuals eager to build and refine their management skills within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be the pivotal figure ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your shifts. This includes overseeing restaurant activities, supporting training initiatives, and maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and customer service. You will often be the most senior squad member present during your shift, responsible for managing the team, resolving issues, and ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service.

A core part of your role involves deploying squad members appropriately to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction, conducting training for new hires and existing team members on new initiatives, and collaborating closely with management to maintain operational systems and equipment. You will lead by example, demonstrating MOD’s values in every interaction and fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and personal growth. Adaptability is key in this role, as the Shift Supervisor must balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, always with the goal of delivering a top-tier MOD experience.

Beyond day-to-day leadership duties, the Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in utilizing MOD’s tools and standards to uphold food safety protocols in both the front and back of the house. Handling cash management tasks accurately and responsibly during shifts, assisting with inventory and ordering processes, and maintaining clear communication with squad members through regular updates are also essential elements of the job. Effectively addressing squad member and guest concerns, providing compassionate coaching, and escalating issues when necessary are part of the supervisory responsibilities that enhance team cohesion and guest satisfaction.

MOD Pizza’s culture is inclusive and supportive, emphasizing that everyone has a place at the table. Working here means you are part of a vibrant "people vibe," where individuality is celebrated and leadership opportunities abound. MOD proudly endorses equal employment opportunity and provides reasonable accommodations to support all candidates through the hiring process. This approach ensures that each team member can thrive and contribute to the company’s ongoing success and community impact. If you are ready to take on a leadership role that values your input, supports your growth, and challenges you to create exceptional experiences, MOD Pizza’s Shift Supervisor position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
