Job Description
CEC Entertainment, LLC, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in family dining and entertainment. It proudly operates iconic brands such as Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Chuck's Arcade. With nearly 600 Chuck E. Cheese locations and over 120 Peter Piper Pizza venues across 45 states and 18 countries, CEC is a significant player in the family entertainment industry. The company focuses on creating joyful, lasting memories for families through their unique concept of food, fun, and play. Their offerings go beyond just dining by incorporating engaging entertainment and attractions that support physical wellness and strengthen motor skills in children.
Peter Piper Pizza, a part of CEC Entertainment, is known for its neighborhood pizzeria experience that combines quality food with an engaging atmosphere designed for family fun. The restaurant's culture embodies its brand values of food, fun, and family, ensuring that every guest’s visit is memorable. The company's commitment to health and safety is evident in their rigorous sanitation standards and operational procedures designed to protect both guests and employees. They also prioritize diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being, making them an employer of choice in the hospitality sector.
The Shift Supervisor role at Peter Piper Pizza is a vital position that directly contributes to the brand's operational standards and guest satisfaction. This leadership role requires an individual to provide outstanding hospitality, maintain high-quality food products, ensure the environment is clean and safe, and effectively coach and develop team members. The position offers considerable opportunities for career growth, as evidenced by the fact that 70% of the management team comes from internal promotions. Employees benefit from a culture that supports upward mobility and offers various tools, such as the "Work Today, Get Paid Tomorrow" program, which allows access to earned wages quickly.
This role is designed for someone with a passion for hospitality and leadership, keen to foster a welcoming environment where families can enjoy quality food and entertainment. The Shift Supervisor will manage daily operations, from opening and closing the restaurant to ensuring profitability by controlling labor costs and food waste. A key part of the job is to model and reinforce hospitality expectations while training and mentoring team members to uphold company policies and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Maintaining a safe working environment is a priority, ensuring both team members and guests feel secure at all times.
The company values individuals who are capable of handling job stress, interacting effectively with both guests and coworkers, and who are physically able to meet the demands of the role, such as lifting items up to 50 pounds and standing or moving for long periods. Peter Piper Pizza and CEC Entertainment are dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive work environment for everyone.
Overall, the Shift Supervisor position at Peter Piper Pizza offers a dynamic and rewarding career path within a family-friendly environment that values fun, food, and growth. The role is not only about supervision but also about being an integral part of a team that strives to create memorable experiences for guests while building a supportive and productive workplace for employees.
