Job Description

Shake Shack is a leading hospitality brand known for its commitment to quality, community, and exceptional guest experiences. Founded by renowned restaurateur Danny Meyer as a humble hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park, Shake Shack has grown into a fast-expanding global business with a reputation for serving high-quality food and embedding social responsibility at the core of its operations. The company takes pride in its origins rooted in fine dining and philanthropic contributions, having donated all initial proceeds from its cart to park beautification efforts. Today, Shake Shack is more than just a restaurant—it is a vibrant culture and a movement dedicated to "Standing For Something Good." This philosophy extends from its dedication to customers and neighborhoods to the inclusive and supportive environment it fosters for its employees, affectionately known as the #ShackFam.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the hospitality sector, Shake Shack provides numerous opportunities for career development, mentorship, and growth. Its team members benefit from comprehensive support, training programs, and a positive workplace culture that encourages continuous learning and progression. The company embraces diversity and is committed to equal opportunity employment, ensuring that every individual is valued and given a fair chance to contribute and thrive.

The role of Shift Manager at Shake Shack is a pivotal position instrumental in delivering the brand's promise of outstanding service and quality. A Shift Manager is responsible for managing the effective and efficient flow of service during shifts, leading and motivating the team to uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed. This position not only demands excellent leadership and operational skills but also requires a hands-on approach in supporting various functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory management. Beyond daily operations, the Shift Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a thriving workplace by participating in the hiring process and addressing employee relations, thereby contributing to building a strong, cohesive team.

This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where innovation meets tradition, and where caring for people leads to extraordinary guest experiences. With eligibility for performance bonuses, comprehensive medical benefits, paid time off, and extensive corporate perks, the role offers competitive rewards that align with personal and professional growth. The Shift Manager position is ideal for motivated individuals with restaurant leadership experience who are eager to make an impact in a supportive and rapidly growing company. Join Shake Shack and be part of a team that not only serves delicious food but also stands for something truly meaningful.
