Job Description

Shake Shack is a leading hospitality brand that began its journey as a humble hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park. Founded by Danny Meyer, the visionary behind Union Square Hospitality Group and the acclaimed author of "Setting the Table," Shake Shack has grown rapidly to become one of the fastest-growing names in the restaurant industry. From its inception, Shake Shack has been dedicated to the principle of "Standing For Something Good," emphasized by its commitment to quality, community, and an exceptional hospitality experience. The brand's story is rooted in giving back to the community, with its initial cart's daily proceeds benefiting park beautification efforts. This foundation of community care combined with a passion for quality food and an inviting atmosphere has propelled Shake Shack into a beloved global hospitality leader with a strong, inclusive culture known as the #ShackFam. Shake Shack operates with a deep commitment to its people-first philosophy, recognizing that its continued success depends on investing in the growth, well-being, and empowerment of its team members. The company offers a dynamic work environment, revolving around mentorship, hands-on training, and multiple career advancement opportunities, all within a culture that promotes fun, inclusivity, and personal growth. As part of the #ShackFam, employees experience a supportive and engaging workplace where innovation and teamwork are encouraged and recognized.

The role available at Shake Shack is a leadership position focused on directing and managing the flow of service within the restaurant during shifts. This position holds significant responsibility in maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, food quality, and operational speed. Leaders in this role support the restaurant's mission by ensuring every guest has an unforgettable experience while helping to cultivate a high-performing team of hourly employees. This involves hands-on mentorship, team building, and occasionally taking part in operational support functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory management. Additionally, this role plays a key part in the hiring process by participating in applicant interviews and administering employee relations support. It is ideal for individuals with at least one year of restaurant leadership experience who are passionate about fostering positive work environments, have strong problem-solving abilities, and communicate effectively. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $24.34 to $28.34 and provides access to industry-leading benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement savings options, and paid time off. Working at Shake Shack means you are joining a brand that is not only focused on business success but also deeply committed to making a positive impact on communities, supporting team member well-being, and championing diversity and inclusion. Join Shake Shack to be part of a growing company that truly values its people and offers a pathway for personal and professional development, all while doing meaningful work in a fun and welcoming hospitality environment.
