Currently, Gellert Hospitality Group is seeking experienced and motivated Shift Managers to join their teams. This role is ideal for professionals who have 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced foodservice or restaurant environment and who are eager to grow within a reputable franchise. Shift Managers will be responsible for managing shifts effectively while promoting the Five Guys culture among team members and guests.

Shift Managers at Gellert Hospitality Group play a crucial role in operational success by leading high-energy shifts, utilizing company-provided tools to optimize performance, and maintaining high food quality and cleanliness standards. They act as advocates for guests, ensuring satisfaction, and oversee the adherence to safety and uniform policies, as well as managing cash procedures and inventory reporting. This position requires a hands-on, engaged leader who enjoys working alongside their team and fosters a work environment that emphasizes both hard work and having fun.

The role demands a creative and dedicated individual with the ability to coach and motivate team members effectively, screen applicants, and uphold the standards of the Five Guys brand during each shift. Responsible for overseeing labor costs, waste monitoring, sales, and other business management functions, the Shift Manager ensures that each shift runs smoothly and meets organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • some college preferred
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • proficient in Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook
  • able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds occasionally
  • able to kneel bend stoop ascend and descend stairs
  • able to reach and grasp objects
