The company fosters a family-oriented culture that encourages personal growth and development among its employees, referred to affectionately as Family Members. The Shift Leader role at Whataburger is a dynamic and integral position that drives the smooth operation of restaurant shifts. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, coaching team members, and ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager team to develop your leadership capabilities and operational expertise, positioning yourself for growth within the company.

Benefits include paid time off, 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability benefits, and discounts on meals, wireless services, computers, software, and fitness programs. Additionally, Whataburger invests in employee education with free English-language learning, no-cost college-level courses, and reduced tuition degree pathways. The company also supports its employees and their families through the Whataburger Family Foundation Scholarship Program and Hardship Grant Assistance.

This role is perfect for individuals looking to bring energy, discipline, and passion to a leadership position within a vibrant, well-respected restaurant chain. The Shift Leader is entrusted with leading shift management efforts, maintaining operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and contributing directly to business success. This role requires strong multitasking, communication, and coaching skills to inspire and develop team members, ensuring that every customer receives the best possible experience.

As a Shift Leader at Whataburger, you will experience continuous learning through business meetings, training opportunities, and leadership sessions designed to enhance your skills and engagement in the broader organizational goals.
