Known for its bold flavors and commitment to delivering a distinctive dining experience, Whataburger has become a beloved brand with a strong foothold in many communities. The establishment blends a rich history in the fast-food industry with modern operational excellence, emphasizing the value of teamwork, leadership development, and employee growth. As a People First company, Whataburger prioritizes creating a positive work culture where employees, known affectionately as Family Members, are empowered to thrive and deliver their best work. Whataburger offers robust career development programs, scholarship opportunities, and comprehensive benefits, making it more than just a place to work — it’s a launching pad for ambitious professionals seeking to advance in the hospitality and restaurant industry.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at the location on 12305 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32826. This role is integral to maintaining operational success during shifts, ensuring that the restaurant runs smoothly and meets or exceeds all quality and safety standards. As a Shift Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence by leading your team, coaching Family Members to enhance their skills, and fostering a cohesive, collaborative environment. This position demands strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and a passion for customer service. Shift Leaders work closely with Restaurant Managers to support business goals related to food cost, labor management, and sales performance while upholding Whataburger’s high standards in food safety, sanitation, and workplace compliance.
The role offers competitive weekly pay with flexible schedules including day, night, evening, and overnight shifts. Benefits include paid time off, a 401(k) matching program, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as disability benefits. There are rich opportunities for career advancement with clear pathways to leadership positions that can result in a six-figure income, reflecting Whataburger’s commitment to nurturing and rewarding leadership talent. Additional perks include meal discounts, wireless service and software discounts, fitness center memberships, and ongoing education support including free English language classes and reduced tuition for college-level courses.
As a Shift Leader, you will be the spark that keeps the restaurant running efficiently by preparing, leading, and transitioning shifts seamlessly. Your role is to support and motivate the team, ensure adherence to safety standards, manage inventory and costs, and maintain high levels of cleanliness and service quality. You will be entrusted to build a positive workplace culture where every Family Member feels valued and equipped to succeed. This position also offers the chance to engage in leadership development sessions and cross-location support, broadening your experience within the Whataburger family. If you are ready to make a tangible impact, grow your leadership skills, and be part of a company that truly values its people, this is the perfect role for you.
