The Shift Leader role at Whataburger is a vital management position responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient restaurant operation during assigned shifts. As a Shift Leader, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager team to develop your leadership capabilities and operational knowledge. Your daily tasks include coaching and motivating team members, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, managing labor and food costs, and leading shift transitions to keep the restaurant running seamlessly.

Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • possess a high school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
  • be able to meet business needs and have open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, variable hours, and maintain dependable attendance
  • have ability to stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs., and meet physical demands
  • have experience coaching or leading teams
  • strong customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
  • possess ServSafe Food Certification or the ability to successfully obtain and pass the exam during training
