Job Requirements

  • Sit, stand, and walk continuously
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb including use of ladders
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds including overhead lifting
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
  • Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
  • Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception
  • Work in environments with hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
  • Operate restaurant equipment safely including knives, fryers, and hazardous equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact cooperatively with others
  • Leadership experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan and Food Safety Certification
  • Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to the General Manager
  • Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability
  • Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during shifts
  • Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members exceed guest expectations
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, stock product, and complete daily inventory counts
  • Manage food production and quality by monitoring prep, cooking, and holding processes
  • Track food safety and quality and ensure orders meet company standards
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing tasks are completed
  • Collaborate with management to develop and report on goals
  • Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are followed throughout operations
  • Follow company cash management policies
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Utilize management tools and keep accurate records
  • Maintain flexibility to perform beyond position parameters
  • Ensure the team works safely and follows safety guidelines
  • Report human resources and risk management concerns promptly
  • Escalate other concerns when appropriate
  • Perform all other duties necessary for proper restaurant operations
