Job Duties
- Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan
- complete food safety certification
- create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
- mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to General Manager
- prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner
- create and maintain positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
- communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability
- delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during shift
- maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with Zaxbys franchising guidelines, policies, and procedures
- ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
- receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts
- manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and take corrective actions when necessary
- track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders meeting company standards and satisfaction
- plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
- collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on progress
- ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
- follow company cash management policies
- maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
- use management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
- maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond position description
- ensure team works safely and follows all safety guidelines
- report human resources and risk management concerns immediately to General Manager and District Manager
- escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate
- perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
