Job Requirements

  • Complete shift leader development training and food safety certification
  • Ability to lead and coach team members effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk continuously
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate restaurant equipment safely
  • Must pass background check
  • Ability to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination
  • Ability to work in varied temperature environments
  • Leadership experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of background check
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
  • Leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, food safety certification, any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Create a culture of high performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to General Manager
  • Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level
  • Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
  • Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxbys franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts
  • Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
  • Track food safety and quality throughout shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders meeting company standards and guest satisfaction
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
  • Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back on goal progress
  • Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
  • Follow company cash management policies
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
  • Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
  • Maintain flexibility to perform beyond position description parameters
  • Ensure team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to General Manager and District Manager
  • Escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate
  • Perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
