Job Requirements
- Complete shift leader development training and food safety certification
- Ability to lead and coach team members effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk continuously
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate restaurant equipment safely
- Must pass background check
- Ability to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination
- Ability to work in varied temperature environments
- Leadership experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation
- Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of background check
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
- Leadership experience preferred
Job Duties
- Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, food safety certification, any additional training required by Zax LLC
- Create a culture of high performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
- Mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to General Manager
- Prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly and respectful manner
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
- Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level
- Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
- Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxbys franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- Enhance guest experiences by ensuring team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
- Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts
- Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
- Track food safety and quality throughout shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders meeting company standards and guest satisfaction
- Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
- Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back on goal progress
- Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
- Follow company cash management policies
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
- Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
- Maintain flexibility to perform beyond position description parameters
- Ensure team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
- Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to General Manager and District Manager
- Escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate
- Perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
