Zaxbys is currently looking to expand its team with the role of Shift Leader, an integral position responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Pay for this role ranges between $14.00 and $17.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of leadership and dedication expected in the position. Shift Leaders support the restaurant by managing people, processes, and services to ensure smooth operations and exemplary guest experiences. They are tasked with setting shift goals, delegating responsibilities, maintaining high standards for food quality and safety, and fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.

The Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in advancing the restaurant's mission by coaching and mentoring team members, ensuring all training protocols and compliance measures are met, and being the point of contact for solving guest issues promptly and respectfully.   • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successful completion of background check

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Food safety certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
  • Mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to the General Manager
  • Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner
  • Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level
  • Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
  • Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxbys Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
  • Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts
  • Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
  • Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guests’ satisfaction
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
  • Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress
  • Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
  • Follow company cash management policies
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
  • Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
  • Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description
  • Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to the General Manager and District Manager
  • Escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate
  • Perform all other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
