As a Server at The Golf Club at Newcastle, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by serving food and beverages in a friendly and sincere manner. This position requires you to interact courteously and professionally with guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit. Your responsibilities include taking orders, delivering food and drinks promptly, handling the point-of-sale system accurately, and following service sequences proficiently. You will be the face of the restaurant by initiating contact with guests as they approach, welcoming them warmly, and ensuring their needs are met. Moreover, you will be expected to maintain clear communication with your team, contribute to keeping the dining area clean and orderly, and uphold the club’s high standards of professionalism and appearance by wearing the designated uniform.
The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment where customer service excellence is continually expected. You will also be responsible for upselling by recommending specials and personal favorites to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue opportunities. Physical stamina is essential, as the position involves standing for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. The pay rate for this hourly position is $17.13 per hour plus tips, with eligibility for overtime. Job Requirements
- Must possess a Food Handler's Card
- Must possess a Class 12 MAST Card
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings as needed

Job Duties
- Take food and beverage orders from guests and enter orders into the point-of-sale system
- Initiate contact with guests within 15 feet with a sincere welcome and willingness to assist
- Execute server sequence proficiently
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction
- Prepare final bill and maintain effective communication with guests and team members
