The hotel is actively seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Restaurant Server to join its dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional dining experiences by engaging with guests, presenting menus, taking orders accurately, and ensuring seamless service.

The Restaurant Server at Cleveland Marriott East acts as the welcoming face of the restaurant. Responsibilities include preparing the restaurant for service, greeting guests warmly, guiding them through their dining experience by creatively describing menu items, and collaborating effectively with kitchen and bar staff to meet guest needs. The ideal candidate is quick on their feet, exhibits a positive and engaging personality, and possesses strong communication skills. They should be adept at handling pressure in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for creating memorable guest interactions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of food service experience
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to handle guest concerns professionally

Job Duties

  • Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead
  • Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant
  • Guide guests on their culinary journey through descriptive selling of the menu
  • Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests
  • Be the master of the menu, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
  • Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
  • Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
