As a Restaurant Server, you will be expected to master an extensive knowledge of the menu, including detailed food preparation and culinary terms, as well as wine, beer, and spirits expertise to offer comprehensive recommendations. Part of your duties will include pre-shift and post-shift responsibilities to uphold the restaurant’s standards of cleanliness and hygiene, as well as adherence to point-of-sale accounting procedures. Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
Ability to work autonomously
Motivated and results-driven
Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverage
Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology
Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds

Job Duties

Serve assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner
Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
Participate in daily pre-shift meeting
Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system
Execute pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
Fulfill duties that may involve lifting objects such as tables, chairs, and highchairs
Clean and maintain restaurant and workstation
Maintain the highest level of hygiene standards including clean uniform and professionally styled hair and nails
Exercise integrity with scheduling and adhere to shift rules and breaks
Coordinate holiday, vacation, and time off with management considering the needs of the restaurant
