The Mansion Restaurant within Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek has garnered acclaim for decades as one of the finest dining establishments in Dallas. The restaurant's service team plays a crucial role in maintaining these high standards, ensuring every guest enjoys courteous, professional, and efficient service tailored to their needs.

We are hiring a full-time permanent Restaurant Busser to become an integral part of our Food & Beverage Services team. The Restaurant Busser assists servers and captains by supporting all dining room set-up tasks and performing essential basic service functions as outlined in the hotel's standards manual. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding Rosewood's exceptional service standards to maximize guest satisfaction.

The role involves preparing the dining room for service, including setting up service stations and stocking supplies such as silverware, glassware, china, and linens. The Busser supports guests by providing water upon seating, refilling bread, butter, and water as needed, clearing tables efficiently, and managing soiled items in an organized manner to ensure smooth dining operations. Additionally, the Busser ensures that service stations and side stands remain clean and fully stocked throughout service periods and assists waitstaff with closing duties and other side jobs.

A successful candidate will have at least six months of experience in fine dining or one to two years in the restaurant industry. They must possess strong organizational skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and fellow employees. This role demands physical stamina to endure prolonged periods of standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and carrying items throughout the shift. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered an advantage, reflecting the hotel's diverse, international clientele.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the set-up of the dining room
  • prepare service station for supplies and equipment

  • replace soiled ashtrays and clear tables during meals
  • sort dirty glasses, china, and silver and take them to the dishwasher

  • ensure cleanliness of bus station and service stations
  • assist waitpersons with closing tasks
  • be conversant with all services and facilities offered
  • have knowledge of all food and beverage items served
