The Restaurant Server plays a critical role in our establishment by offering courteous and efficient service to every guest. This full-time/part-time role involves taking orders for food and beverages with accuracy, delivering orders promptly, and ensuring that each guest feels welcomed and valued. The Server's interaction with guests directly influences the overall dining experience, making the role essential for fostering positive relationships and encouraging repeat visits.

In this position, Servers are required to greet and seat guests, often managing special seating preferences and requests. They carefully listen to the needs of guests, noting any dietary restrictions or special instructions, then promptly input these orders into the restaurant's system. Throughout the meal, Servers maintain table upkeep by clearing dishes, refilling beverages, and ensuring that tables are clean and properly set. Their thorough knowledge of the menu and specials allows them to make personalized recommendations and suggest additional items, thus elevating the guest experience and contributing to higher sales revenue.

Servers also manage payment processing accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions while respecting company policies and regulatory guidelines. Moreover, collaboration with kitchen staff and fellow servers is an integral part of smooth service delivery, ensuring orders are prepared and served seamlessly. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, good physical stamina, and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Additionally, the Server may participate in special events and catering functions, providing versatile support during high-volume periods.

Physical demands include extended periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varied environmental conditions such as exposure to temperature extremes and kitchen-related elements. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

  • alcohol awareness certification preferred
  • ability to handle cash and credit transactions responsibly
